Commitment to Life: Strengthening the Culture of Safety

In the month of November, we successfully promoted Health and Safety Week at one of our projects located in the city of Vargeão, in the state of Santa Catarina. During this period, we dedicate efforts to raise awareness and engage our employees in practices that aim to ensure a safer and healthier work environment.

Over the five days of activities, we carried out several dynamics aimed at promoting a safer professional life. We address crucial topics, such as the Rules that save lives, highlighting essential practices such as interrupting the machine before any intervention, the application of the locking and labeling procedure (LOTO) before disassembly or other indicated situations, in addition to safe driving rules, among other fundamental aspects.

The week's schedule included a variety of specific topics, each dedicated to particular aspects of workplace safety. On the first day, we drew attention to the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). On the second day, the focus was on safe driving, followed by the third day dedicated to working at heights. On the fourth day, we explored cargo handling protocols, and finally, on the fifth day, we consolidated all the rules that save lives.

In addition to the informative lectures, we incorporate dynamic and participatory activities to strengthen the understanding and application of the concepts discussed. Among these activities, games such as the Memory Game stood out, which related PPE to specific activity risks. We also implemented the Truth or Lie game, challenging employees to discern crucial information. In a special dynamic, the participants expressed, through their hands, to those who were there and to the people involved in the project, their commitment to the five rules that save lives.

This initiative not only reinforced the importance of health and safety in the workplace, but also promoted an organizational culture committed to preserving the integrity of all employees. We believe that investing in awareness and safe practices is fundamental to the well-being of our team and the continued success of our projects.
