In a world that cries out for sustainable solutions, MSE Engenharia has just launched an innovative campaign to promote the use of ethanol throughout its flex fleet. This decision not only reflects an environmental commitment, but also places the company at the forefront of the energy transition in Brazil.
The Stellantis website details a study on the advantages of using ethanol in reducing CO2 emissions, comparing a vehicle fueled with ethanol, gasoline, and in two electrical configurations (one with a Brazilian energy matrix and the other with a European energy matrix). The results show that, considering the complete life cycle of vehicles and fuels, ethanol has significant advantages in terms of CO2 emissions compared to gasoline and has a performance comparable to that of electric vehicles, especially when considering the Brazilian energy matrix. Stellantis emphasizes the importance of ethanol and electrification in promoting more sustainable mobility in Brazil, in line with global decarbonization goals

MSE Initiative
By adopting ethanol in its 63-car flex fleet, MSE Engenharia will mark a significant step forward in its sustainable practices:
Based on studies conducted by Stellantis, the switch to ethanol allows a drastic reduction in CO2 emissions: from 47.628 kg towards 20,223 kg monthly.
This evidences not only an environmental commitment, reducing 27,405 kg of CO2 per month, but it also establishes the MSE as an example of responsibility and innovation in the sector, promoting cleaner and more sustainable mobility.
Ethanol as an Environmental Protagonist
Ethanol emerges as a powerful alternative against climate change, with the capacity to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. Studies, such as the one released by Stellantis, highlight the substantial advantages of ethanol compared to gasoline and even electric vehicles, depending on the energy matrix. This scenario positions ethanol not only as a fuel, but as a pillar for cleaner and more sustainable mobility.

This movement highlights the urgency and viability of cleaner energy options, encouraging companies and individuals to make conscious decisions for a sustainable future. Together, we can pave the way for a greener, more responsible society committed to the preservation of our planet.
