MSE Engineering and the Responsible Management of Waste and Environment

In the current scenario, concern for the environment and sustainability is more than a trend, it is a pressing need. MSE Engenharia understands this urgency and is dedicated to adopting practices that go beyond legal obligations.

One of the main aspects of our commitment to sustainability is the proper management of waste. MSE Engenharia, in partnership with a specialized company, collects and disposes of waste from our works in a segregated and responsible manner. Through documents such as the Waste Transportation Manifesto (MTR), we provide full transparency about the destination of each type of waste. At MTR, we detail crucial information, such as where the waste is being destined, to ensure that no harmful waste affects the environment and the local community. This is an important step in mitigating negative environmental impacts, ensuring that our ecological footprint is minimized.

MSE Engenharia goes beyond MTR by developing Solid Waste Management Plans (PGRS) and Degraded Area Recovery Plans (PRG CC).

These plans are carefully designed and contain comprehensive information on waste disposal. In addition, professional environmental specialists closely monitor our projects, producing detailed reports. They act to ensure that, in the event of an oil spill or soil contamination, for example, mitigation measures are implemented. Mitigation involves the reduction or elimination of environmental damage through corrective actions, such as the remediation of affected soil.

Environmental safety is intrinsically linked to equipment maintenance. Here, we invest in strict control of the maintenance of our equipment to mitigate the risk of oil spills and soil contamination. This includes regular inspections, replacement of worn parts, and the implementation of containment measures.

We understand that education is the key to change. For this reason, we offer regular training for our employees on various environmental aspects, such as the correct disposal of garbage, prevention of soil contamination and the importance of saving water. We believe that by empowering our employees, we are contributing to a more conscious and responsible society.

In our Suzano project, during a Daily Safety Dialogue (DDS) on the awareness of caring for the environment, we took a special action: we released biodegradable balloons containing tree seeds, contributing to reforestation and promoting environmental responsibility in our workplace.
