MSE Engenharia was responsible for developing the facility designs for TECA – the Air Cargo Terminal at Salgado Filho International Airport in Porto Alegre, RS.

The project features technical solutions designed for the operation of an airport cargo terminal, meeting high requirements for safety, operational reliability, and system efficiency.

Airport infrastructures require integrated engineering prepared for continuous and highly complex operations.

Engineering applied to airport logistics operations

The project was developed considering the specific demands of an air cargo terminal, including critical systems for monitoring, climate control, security, and operational infrastructure.

MSE Engenharia's work involved the integrated development of solutions for:

  • MV/LV Electrical and Panels
  • IT and Security Systems
  • HVAC
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • Industrial Refrigeration
  • Hydraulic Systems

The integration between disciplines was fundamental to ensure operational performance, system reliability, and compliance with the technical and regulatory requirements of the airport sector.

High-performance logistics environments depend on systems operating in an integrated and secure manner.

Electrical Systems and Technology Infrastructure

The medium and low voltage electrical designs were developed to ensure safe and reliable power distribution to the terminal, including distribution and control panels.

Additionally, the scope included technology and security systems, such as:

  • CCTV
  • Access control
  • BMS (Building Management System)

These systems were designed to ensure continuous monitoring, operational control, and greater efficiency in facility management.

Technology and infrastructure work together to ensure security and operational continuity.

HVAC, Refrigeration, and Operational Safety

The project also included specific solutions for industrial HVAC and refrigeration, essential for the proper functioning of the terminal's operational areas and cold storage rooms.

HVAC systems were sized to ensure thermal comfort, air renewal, and energy efficiency, while industrial refrigeration systems provide adequate thermal control for sensitive cargo logistics operations.

Furthermore, fire prevention and fighting systems were developed in accordance with technical standards and legal requirements applicable to the airport environment.

Each system was designed to ensure performance, safety, and operational reliability.

Hydraulic Systems Integrated with the Terminal Infrastructure

The hydraulic infrastructure developed by MSE Engenharia includes potable water supply, sewage, and effluent treatment (WTP) systems, ensuring comprehensive support for the terminal's operations.

The solutions were designed considering operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and meeting the specific needs of the airport facility.

Efficient infrastructure is essential to support large-scale logistics operations.

Engineering for Airport Infrastructure

MSE Engenharia's involvement in the Porto Alegre Airport TECA reinforces its experience in complex infrastructure projects, working multidisciplinarily in the development of integrated technical solutions.

This project represents another contribution by the company to strategic undertakings related to national logistics, mobility, and infrastructure.

Developing airport infrastructure directly contributes to logistical efficiency and connectivity.
