This year Brazil reached the mark of 1 million cases of dengue with 214 deaths. This data was updated yesterday (29/02/2024) by Ministry of Health. Dengue has been a constant concern in Brazil, and to improve this situation, a lot of information and prevention are needed.
At MSE, we care about our employees both at headquarters and at construction sites, and we are taking constant actions to increase knowledge about this problematic situation and to make everyone aware.
The MSE participated in the D-Day action against Dengue, organized by the Zoonosis Center in Montes Claros-MG. We participated by providing trucks and personnel to collect waste that could accumulate water. The action took place in several neighborhoods and was a success!

The best form of prevention, in addition to knowledge about, is to eliminate the focus of proliferation, eliminating once and for all standing water that could be a possible breeding ground.

Plant pots, tires, bottles, unused pools, small containers that may have standing water.
Keep your yard or balcony always clean, clean gutters, slabs, collect garbage, and always leave trash cans covered.
Don't throw garbage on vacant lots, buildings, or squares. Call your city's urban cleaning if necessary.
The main symptoms of dengue fever are:

In some cases the symptoms are asymptomatic, in more severe cases, they include severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and bleeding.
When experiencing any of these symptoms, seek a health service for the correct diagnosis and treatment, all offered free of charge by the SUS.
Knowledge and prevention are the strongest fight against this small mosquito that causes such great damage.

Let's all together fight this cause and eliminate that threat.
