In a data center, efficiency and reliability depend not only on large equipment, but also on an infrastructure that is often invisible: the cabling system and its transit routes.
It is this base that ensures that energy travels through the entire environment in a safe, organized and efficient manner, connecting each critical element of the operation.
Behind a continuous operation, there is an infrastructure that needs to work flawlessly — all the time.
Electrical infrastructure as a strategic element
Cabling in data centers goes beyond simply conducting energy. It needs to be designed to withstand high loads, ensure operational safety, and allow flexibility for future expansions.
A well-planned infrastructure provides:
- Efficient and reliable energy distribution
- Reduction of operational risks
- Organization and standardization of facilities
- Ease of maintenance and scalability
Organization and engineering go together to sustain critical environments.
Medium-voltage distribution: robustness and safety
The medium voltage network is responsible for connecting the system's main power supply points, requiring materials and techniques that guarantee high reliability.
In this context, the infrastructure includes 2,523 meters of medium voltage conductors (15/25 kV), with different gauges — 50 mm², 185 mm² and 240 mm² — dimensioned according to specific load demands.
The connections are carried out by means of terminations with 25 kV class muffles, ensuring adequate insulation, operational safety, and system durability.
Each connection needs to be as reliable as the system as a whole.
Low voltage: capillarity and intelligent distribution
In low voltage, the challenge lies in the capillarity of the distribution, which must reach all points in the data center with precision and stability.
The infrastructure includes approximately 244,000 meters of flexible copper conductors, ensuring high conductivity and adaptability to different installation routes.
These conductors are distributed over a structured network consisting of:
- Galvanized steel beds
- Perforated and smooth electrogrids
- Rigid and flexible electrical ducts
This configuration ensures organization, mechanical protection, and easy access for maintenance.
Efficiency is also in the way energy travels through each meter of the system.
Key differentials of the solution
- High distribution capacity at medium and low voltage
- Use of high quality materials and durability
- Organized and standardized infrastructure
- Flexibility for future expansion and adaptations
- Operational safety at every stage of the system
Good infrastructure doesn't show up - but it makes all the difference.
