MSE Engenharia has just completed a project at the CMAA Alcohol and Sugar Plant, located in Canápolis-MG using cutting-edge technology. The team carried out the point cloud survey, using the powerful Laser Scanner, to map the entire extent of the project.

The painstaking work ranged from the entrance area to the complete structure of the mill, refinery, tanks, storage sheds and other auxiliary structures, totaling a raised area of more than 400,000 m². Surprisingly, this complex operation was completed less than 60 days after the team was mobilized in the field.

The Laser Scanner technology, used by MSE Engenharia, is a sophisticated innovation that uses laser beams to accurately measure and record the distance between the scanner and the surrounding objects. This process generates a detailed data cloud, comprised of millions of points, that creates a detailed and accurate representation of the mapped space. It allowed for unprecedented precision and comprehensiveness. The point cloud files were separated by sector and, in addition, a global file was submitted to the CMAA.
This approach offers such a comprehensive level of detail and information that it will significantly assist the plant in its planning, maintenance, and asset management processes.

The data provided will provide the CMAA Alcohol and Sugar Plant with valuable information for optimizing its operations, including the planning, maintenance, and efficient management of its various structures, such as milling, refinery, tanks, and storage sheds. This technological approach promises to raise the efficiency and safety of industrial processes to levels never reached before.
