Pulp production in Brazil
From 1990 to 2015, according to data from the BNDES (National Development Bank), there was a large investment in forest research and development. This made the sector grow and become competitive in the world, making Brazil, today, one of the world's leading pulp producers.

According to data from IBÁ (Brazilian Tree Industry), last year, there was an increase of 10.9% in wood fiber production compared to the previous year, and exports increased by around 22%.
Brazil has 10 million hectares of cultivated areas and 6 million hectares of native forest conservation, and by the year 2028, Brazil will receive investments for expansion and for the creation of new factories. Source: Annual Report 2022 and 2023
