MSE Engenharia It was responsible for the development of the Advanced Basic Project and the Executive Project for the expansion of the sugar factory of BED — Vale do Pontal plant, in Minas Gerais.
One of the largest players in ethanol, VHP sugar, and bioelectricity in the state, the CMAA expanded the unit's production capacity to 40,000 bags/day. The project included complete engineering solutions, focusing on operational efficiency and integration between all stages of the industrial process, including 3D laser surveying for point cloud generation of areas impacted by the expansion.

The laser scanner is a cutting-edge technology that uses laser beams to capture, in an extremely precise way, the physical characteristics of an environment or structure. This capture generates a cloud of three-dimensional dots that faithfully represent the scanned space. From this point cloud, it is possible to create detailed and georeferenced 3D models, essential for the analysis, planning, and execution of projects in various areas, such as engineering, architecture and civil construction.
These models allow us to visualize and simulate the real environment with millimeter precision, being especially valuable in retrofit projects, where it is necessary to work with existing structures and ensure that new interventions are perfectly integrated. The laser scanner is also widely used in topographic surveys, historical heritage documentation, and in the analysis of complex infrastructures, such as industrial plants and piping systems.
In addition to precision, the laser scanner offers benefits such as the reduction of rework, optimization of budgets and schedules, and greater safety in interventions, since it allows a detailed analysis even before the start of the works. This results in significant time and cost savings, while increasing project quality and reliability.
