MSE Engenharia delivered the complete electromechanical installations for Eurofarma’s new pharmaceutical plant in Montes Claros, Brazil, the company’s largest industrial complex.
The scope covered medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, black and clean utilities, fire protection, automation, telecommunications and steel structures, in line with pharmaceutical industry requirements.
The project totaled about 250,000 m² of built area, with classified pharmaceutical environments (cleanrooms) and all disciplines coordinated in 3D BIM.
MSE also delivered the data books, as-built drawings, technical responsibility records (ARTs) and site records.
Electrical – Medium and low voltage | Power and control cables | Grounding | Cable trays and conduits
Black Utilities – Chilled water | Hot water | Steam | Compressed air
Clean Utilities – Purified water | Clean compressed air | Industrial gases
Fire Protection – Sprinklers | Hydrants | Fire detection and alarm
Structures and Piping – Pipe shop prefabrication | Steel structures | Pipe racks | Supports
Automation and Telecom – Instrumentation | FMS | Telecommunications | Access control
Documentation – 3D BIM coordination | Data books | As-built drawings | ARTs
“Delivering the electromechanical installations for Eurofarma’s largest industrial complex is a source of pride for everyone at MSE. Electrical, utilities, fire protection and automation moved forward together, from start to finish. Seeing the plant in operation is what drives us.” — Wellingthon Silva, Vice President of Operations at MSE Engenharia
With about 250,000 m² of built area, Eurofarma’s new pharmaceutical plant in Montes Claros, Brazil, is the company’s largest industrial complex. Operations began in October 2025.
MSE carried out the complete electromechanical assembly: medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, black utilities (chilled water, hot water, steam and compressed air) and clean utilities (purified water, clean air and industrial gases).
Piping and supports were prefabricated in the on-site pipe shop and arrived ready for assembly. We also installed 12,000 sprinkler heads, hydrants, fire detection and alarm, automation, FMS, telecommunications and the pipe racks.
In Montes Claros, MSE’s construction site became a case of its own for planning and organization.
It covers 7,141 m², with a covered pipe shop and warehouse of 50 × 25 m each, 13 offices, a first-aid room and a pantry.
