MSE Engenharia, in its work at Eternit in Caucácia, in the state of Ceará, carried out a campaign focused on the implementation of the 5S system at the construction site. The main objective of this campaign was the standardization and improvement of work processes, with a view to efficiency, safety and productivity.

The 5S system is a Japanese management methodology that is based on five fundamental principles, each represented by a word beginning with the letter “S”. These principles are:
- Seiri (Select): Identify and remove unnecessary materials and tools. In this context, it means ensuring that only essential materials and tools are present at the construction site, eliminating any excess that could generate waste or confusion.
- Seiton (Organize): Organize the work space so that equipment and materials are easily accessible. This contributes to the agility in the execution of tasks, avoiding the waste of time searching for necessary items.
- Seiso (Clean): Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Regular workplace cleaning not only improves safety but also contributes to a more pleasant and organized environment.
- Seiketsu (Standardize): Establish clear rules and procedures. Having well-defined work standards helps avoid errors, ensure quality, and facilitate the training of new employees.
- Shitsuke (Sustain): Maintain discipline and promote continuous improvement. Discipline in applying 5S principles is essential to ensure that improvements are maintained and that the organization continues to evolve.
